Why The Excel Church?

If I could sum it up in a few words, I would say at The Excel Church you get the organic Word of God

I felt like I was receiving un-doctored pure truth from the Word, the teaching was straightforward and made sense and there was no regurgitated doctrine

I most like the family feel of the church

The relaxed atmosphere. The teaching which has brought clarity and understanding to some areas of the bible long held as meaning something else

I felt a need to grow in my knowledge of God and that The Excel Church would be a place for that to happen

The True Nature of God

We firmly believe that the true nature of God has been misrepresented to the world and has affected people’s perception and opinion of God.

Our perception of who God is determines how we relate to Him. This applies to everyone whether you are a Christian or not.  If you are a Christian your perception of Him will not only determine how you relate to Him but will also affect what you’re able to receive from Him.  Our Christian life is what it is today because of our perception of God.

Mythbusters

Here we challenge common myths and misconceptions regarding God’s nature, attributes and directives which have either arisen through misinterpretation of the bible or assumptions.

Myth – God is in control of the earth

Say what?  Surely God is in control of everything isn’t He?

Contrary to popular belief God is not in control of the earth. The bible makes it clear that God made the heavens and the earth but gave the earth to the first man, Adam to dominate, rule and subdue. Adam lost control and handed the earth to the devil.  Since then, God has not taken back control of the earth.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. (Gen 1:27-28)

The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD’S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men. (Psalm 115:16)

And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. (Luke 4:5-6)
